WEC Categories & Rules

Eligibility :
The Directors of Competitions determines the eligibility of all competitors, teams, and projects according to the following guidelines.

Competitors :
All persons wishing to participate in WEC and to be eligible for entry in the Ontario Engineering Competition must currently be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate engineering program at the time of the competition.

1. Junior Team Design PDF Document Teams of up to 4 people must overcome a technical challenge.

3. Engineering Consulting Design PDF Document Teams of 1 to 4 people have four hours to come up with a solution to a problem.

4. Parliamentary Debate PDF Document Teams of 2 people will debate an engineering topic.

5. Engineering Communications PDF Document Teams of 1 or 2 people will deliver a presentation an engineering technical process.

6. Entrepreneurial Design PDF Document Teams of 1 to 4 people will be given 14 days to develop a product.
